Daniels Story
Daniel grew up in a council estate in the UK where substances surrounded him from an early age. He drank alcohol for the first time when he was seven and started using drugs at eight. The circumstances seemed to work against him right from the start.
During his teen years, Daniel kept drinking and using drugs. By the time he turned 16, his substance use had gotten much worse. His addiction became more severe over the next 21 years.
From his teen years on, Daniel tried almost everything to kick his habit—going to many treatment centers, trying to detox at home over and over, and moving to new places hoping a clean slate would lead to lasting change. He understands how tough, maddening, and draining the battle for recovery can be—because he went through it himself.
At last, after fighting for decades, Daniel got clean for good.
He understands better than most how hard early recovery can be—how exposed, tender, and shaky those first weeks and months are. That experience drives everything he does now.
Daniel's life goal is to assist families and individuals in finding their way through the mess of addiction and to discover a road to long-term recovery. His personal experience drives his purpose, and his tale proves that everyone has a chance at redemption.
